Welcome aboard our virtual tour of one of Europe’s most iconic rivers, the Danube!
You may also join us as we embark in real life on an unforgettable voyage through the heart of Central Europe, exploring historic cities, UNESCO World Heritage sites, and sampling delightful local cuisines along the way. We will be sailing November 22-29, 2025.
Come along as we take a peek to see the adventures this trip has in store.
As an added touch, we will get "just a taste" of the holidays on our November sailing as part of the "Taste of Christmas Markets" featured mid-November or late December with visits to one or two Christmas Markets during the river cruise.

Embark in Budapest
Our journey begins in the enchanting city of Budapest, where east meets west in a stunning fusion of culture and history. As we settle into our cruise ship, we'll have time to meet our fellow travelers and the crew before setting sail towards our first destination: Bratislava.

Bratislava
As the morning sun rises, we arrive in Bratislava, the "Coronation City of Kings." Today offers a choice of adventures: a guided walking tour delving into the city's royal past, a culinary exploration of traditional Slovakian dishes, or a hike to Bratislava Castle for panoramic views of the city.

Vienna
Our next stop is Vienna, the "City of Waltzes." We’ll dive into its imperial history with a guided tour, featuring landmarks such as the Opera House and the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Later, enjoy free time to explore Vienna's UNESCO-listed city center or opt for an active bike tour along the Danube.

Dürnstein and the Wachau Valley
Today, we cruise through the picturesque Wachau Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage site. In Dürnstein, choose between a walking tour and wine tasting, a hike to Dürnstein Fortress, or a tasting session of apricot delicacies. Afterwards, continue cruising or cycle along the Danube to Melk, where the magnificent Melk Abbey awaits.

Passau
Known as the "City of Three Rivers," Passau awaits with its blend of Gothic and Baroque architecture. Join a walking tour to explore its ancient streets and visit St. Stephen’s Cathedral or opt for a bike tour along the Danube. For the more adventurous, a hike to Passau Castle promises stunning views of the city and its surroundings.

Regensburg
Today, we arrive in Regensburg, a UNESCO World Heritage city famed for its medieval architecture. Take a guided walking tour to discover highlights such as the Old Town Hall and the ancient Roman gates or indulge in a taste of Bavaria with local beer, sausage, and pretzels. Alternatively, explore on two wheels with a bike tour to Walhalla.

Nuremberg
Our final full day brings us to Nuremberg, a city rich in history from medieval times to World War II. Choose between a medieval city tour, a WWII history tour including the Zeppelin Field and Nuremberg Trials site, or a culinary exploration of Franconian specialties. Savor the famous Nuremberg Bratwurst and Rot bier or indulge in Lebkuchen gingerbread.
Disembark in Nuremberg
As our journey draws to a close, we bid farewell to our floating home after breakfast in Nuremberg. Reflecting on the memories made and the sights seen, we depart with hearts full, and cameras packed with snapshots of Central Europe’s cultural tapestry.
Our Danube River cruise has taken us on a voyage through time and culture, from Budapest’s grandeur to Nuremberg’s storied past. Each day offered new adventures, whether exploring ancient castles, savoring local delicacies, or soaking in the beauty of UNESCO sites. As we disembark, we carry with us not just souvenirs, but a deeper appreciation for the rich tapestry of history and heritage that defines Central Europe.
